matt's shiner in the post below......

Well, like Aunt Suzy said, "there's probably a good story..." And yes, each and every day there's a "good story" that takes place in our house!!!! And this was like the others. We were at the park by my mom and dad's. There's a little side walk that goes around it that's a perfect size for these guys and away from the street. We love going there because usually around 7pm all the parents and kids come out to the park to play and it's an EVENT! They all bring their outside toys stuffed in their wagons and as you can imagine it's a free for all. (ANd David jokes that I have a double life. We usually only go over there when he's out of town, but I've gotten to know the parents over there pretty well and we all chat and catch up all time... I just don't live over there like the rest of them.)

So this day a little boy brought out a miniature wagon, perfect size for two mischevious little boys to get in a little bit of trouble. So one hops in (matt) and the other starts pulling (jack). But Jack started going pretty fast, rounded a corner, and the little plastic wheels of this "beach toy" wagon can't handle the craziness of these two and it flips over. Before matty knew it he hit his eye pretty hard and never put his hands out to break the fall. And to top it off, jack kept pulling... so matt was then dragged another foot or two! But scars are cool i guess. So he's fine with it.

And for today's story...... and only read on if you dare..... I warned you!***

Today I was cleaning up from breakfast and matty said, "mom, come here I have a surprise for you." in a VERY cheery and peppy voice. Already I knew it was something fishy because it was an echoing voice which meant he was in the bathroom... and when I got there he was sitting on the potty..... and yes! he was right, there was nice SURPRISE in there... just not the kind you'd ever askk for if it were your birthday.

****And remember... you were warned before reading that part! So don't get mad at me if all of a sudden you're grossed out. I warned you!***

And before I forget to post this I need to. Aunt Steph was so kind to help me out a few weeks ago with the kids for an hour. And while they were there I guess they got the grand tour because somehow they ended up in Luke and Sam's rooms.... When I got back, Steph had written down a funny thing they said. After they saw the boys rooms they looked at Steph and said, "why don't they clean their rooms?" I just thought it was pretty funny coming from those two considering they have been know to need bribery or punishment to get their rooms cleaned. Either "monnies" or hard time!

Bike Rally

I LOVE jack's Preschool! His teachers are great, the other teachers and staff are great, the kids are great... it's just a great place! And he's learned so much!

But I Love it mostly because they're very family oriented, and every little thing they do they always invite the boys to come along!

So today was the bike/trike rally. The kids got to bring their bikes and show off their rad moves. It was a lot of fun! As you can tell from their cheesy faces! And jack was so cute! Nate would get a little tired and stop in the middle of traffic. Jack would get off his bike and pull him to safety. And Charlie was perfect little cheerleader!

LIttle funnies

What's been said lately:

Matt is totally in LOVE with anything super hero. Dave and I rented Iron man the other night and he desperately wanted to watch it. Being that it's not for children we told him no, but said he could watch one part... the flying part. Matty sat there with sheer delight and as he was flying through the air matt looked over at David and said, "dad, my hairs are coming down!" (he was getting goose bumps from watching it!) Then I told him that daddy was Iron Man and was so happy he could hardly stand it.

Then, today I was editing some pictures of the cutest little asian boy and Matty comes in and says, "oh, cute, look, it's me when I was little." I say, "No it's not!" while laughing.... and matty then says, "yeah it is mom, see this hair on my head.. it's not brown, it's black!" SOrry... didn't know bud!

Then, today I was out of peanut butter and we had to leave for school in 30 minutes, so I called my friend holly to see if she could make an extra sandwich for Jack. She was so kind and said yes, and stuck it in his backpack when she got there. Well, i went to go pick him up and his teacher told me that he was missing his sandwich today. I had already talked to Holly and knew that it was in his back pack, but he just didn't see it... so his teacher ran up stairs and "grab him some stuff to eat..." haha.. so I asked jack if he had a good lunch today and he said, " YES! I loved it. I had gold fish, bear crackers, and m&m's." No wonder the kid loved it!

Nate, well Nate hasn't said the funniest stuff. He's really developed recently his vocabulary. It's been fun, but right now he's so obsessed with his brothers that each and every night, with out fail I know that I"ll find him after I put them all down in his brothers room with his pillow and blanket sleeping. It's pretty cute.

And it's official... charlie's hair is starting to get wavy! And she LOVES her brothers.

I can only imagine...

I can only imagine what it would be like... I am so grateful for my family, their health, my strength, our life, and my lord.

If you've never seent his, it's the story of "Team Hoyt." A boy who was born with a disability, and a father who made sure his son not only lived a life like everyone else, but a full life. Together they've competed in over 700 races, 60 marathons, and numerous triathalons...

Rick, the son said, " I get asked alot what I would do if I weren't in a wheel chair. And I thought if I weren't in a wheel chair I would probably play hockey, or basketball, or baseball, and then I thought about it some more, and thought that first I would probably tell my dad to sit down in the wheel chair so I could push him."

Love knows no bounds... and I love that.

"i lied dad. I don't love noodles...."

"I LOVE KUNG FU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And so does this guy.

It seems his little friend found something.... haha!

And these two were up to no good... seeing who could lift the bench the highest... totally jack's idea! he just wanted to make himself feel good! Haha. He may not be able to beat matty in wrestling, but he can lift the bench higher than nate!

the bebe.

sister is three months now and had her first laugh. Matthew was practically ripping her arms off when i was saying, "be careful!!! you're going to hurt her!!!" and then the little monkey girl started laughing. That's always how it goes. They think their siblings are hilarious.... and what can I say... they are.

Matthew likes to bend over and shake his bottom up and down to get her to laugh, jack likes to smile REALLY REALLY big at her, and nate just says, "hi honey." They all love her so much.

Maybe one day she'll laugh at me, but with three fun and goofy brothers around I'm sure they'll be more entertainment! Plus, the other day Jack told me that I was boring... so it only makes sense that she laughs at them first.

create.

i can't deny the desire in me to create. and i'm so grateful to be a daughter of the greatest creator of all.

"You may think you don't have talents, but that is a false assumption, for we all have talents and gifts, every one of us. The bounds of creativity extend far beyond the limits of a canvas or a sheet of paper and do not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Creation means bringing into existence something that did not exist before—colorful gardens, harmonious homes, family memories, flowing laughter.
What you create doesn't have to be perfect. Don't let fear of failure discourage you. Don't let the voice of critics paralyze you—whether that voice comes from the outside or the inside.

As you take the normal opportunities of your daily life and create something of beauty and helpfulness, you improve not only the world around you but also the world within you.

I believe that as you create beauty and as you are compassionate to others—God will encircle you in the arms of His love. Discouragement, inadequacy, and weariness will give way to a life of meaning, grace, and fulfillment."
